Choosing Ashley Tutors was a great decision for us. The tutor helped our daughter to keep on top of her homework assignments and to review the areas in which school/class lessons didn't result in complete understanding. Best of all, using Ashley Tutors eliminated the head-butting that almost always seemed to occur when we (the "annoying" parents!) tried to review our teen's homework with her. My son and I found Ashley Tutors to be professional and friendly to work with. They put a good deal of effort into finding the right tutor for son, who is a first year college student. It was a positive experience for us, and the one-on-one Algebra help was exactly what he needed. His test scores increased from D's to B's. I would definitely call on Ashley Tutors again.

Our daughter's grades were A's and B's except for a low D in Pre-calculus. She did not understand the class work and she needed more help than the teacher could provide at lunchtime. Ashley Tutors assessed her overall academics and then provided Suzie, a graduate college-age tutor skilled in Pre-calculus. Suzie worked with the teacher to understand the lesson plans and spent an hour per week reviewing concepts, practicing problems and preparing for tests. Our daughter raised her quiz and test scores to A's and B's and Suzie increased our daughter's overall confidence in Pre-calculus.

Ashley really tries to help kids learn. She makes it fun and learning doesn't seem hard. We laugh a lot together and she likes me. Ashley makes me feel smart.

Ashley Tutors has dedicated, caring, and skilled tutors. Our tutor believed in our daughter, connected with her, and helped her to believe in herself. She went from struggling with on-grade level material to willingly working on above-grade level content. Sessions with the tutor are geared to our child's learning style and my daughter has found learning fun. The tutor is an incredibly positive influence. She has helped our daughter take ownership over her homework. Now our daughter will come home and sit down and start her homework without reminders.

The tutoring sessions have been great for my daughter and I think that it has made her much more confident in her writing. The biggest changes I have seen are that she is no longer trying to write the shortest possible answer to questions, and she is no longer freaking out over having to write responses. I'm sure that there are several factors at work here - increased maturity, middle school independence - but also her tutoring sessions with Jenn. We are very pleased with her progress and Ashley Tutors.

Ashley Tutors is a great tutoring team! I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of additional help. My daughter was paired with Dave and Ashley Tutors did a great job with pairing these two together. He made such an impression on my daughter! My daughter learned so much in such a little time, it was absolutely amazing. Dave is patient, quickly made her feel comfortable, and he was able to communicate with her on a level that worked best for my daughter. My daughter used to be somewhat "reserved" in asking questions, but working with Dave, she is coming around. She learned that it's okay to ask questions and not be ashamed or care what others think. Also, working with Dave gave her the confidence to know that it's okay to make a mistake, realize what she did wrong, and to correct herself.

The other great thing I liked as a parent was, that not only did Dave work with her on her math skills, he also took an interest in other areas of her life. I think that made an immediate improvement in her character as a whole.

Marianne was great! My daughter thought she was very friendly and approachable. Marianne certainly presented herself with a positive "can do spirit" and connected with our teen immediately. One night with our instructor Octavio and my daughter is already making progress! Octavio was able to show my daughter the strategies that helped her understand Algebra and made her feel good about herself too. I can not believe this - she goes to a private school and has not understood math for years. Ashley Tutors meets my daughters twice a week after school when they step off the school bus at the JCC. Both my girls grab a healthy snack and then spend an hour working with the energetic tutors. They get their homework done, sharpen their study skills, and have a blast, too. They can't wait for their next session!
